I. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, of the King James Bible, to be "given by inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:16) and to be the complete and divine revelation of God to man. We believe that the KJV is the inherent, infallible, perfect word of God (Psalm 12:6-7). This book is to govern the life of the believer and be his final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
II. THE GODHEAD
We believe in one true God, who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He is eternally existent as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, each being equal in every divine perfection.
III. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of God; God manifested in the flesh, born of a virgin, without sin; that He died on the cross, rose again, and ascended to the Father, and is seated on the right hand of God interceding for believers.
IV. THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit to be a personal being that convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and is the agency of the new birth, baptizing every saved person into the body of Christ, indwelling them, and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We believe the Holy Spirit administers spiritual gifts to every believer for the benefit of the entire body of Christ.
We believe all men are lost apart from Christ, and alienated from God in the fallen image of Adam. We believe salvation to be a free gift of God obtained by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We believe a man must be born again. The new birth takes place when the individual admits that he is a sinner, and cannot by any human merit achieve salvation, repents of his unbelief, and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, thus receiving Him as his personal Savior. The gospel (good news) as defined in the Bible, is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Christ. We believe the saved child of God is eternally secure in Christ.
VI. HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe heaven (the New Jerusalem) is the literal, eternal, perfect, future home of all believers. Every Christian will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and give an account of himself before God, thus determining his eternal rewards in heaven. We believe hell is a literal, physical place of torment where those who die without the Lord Jesus Christ will remain until the great White Throne Judgment. At which time they will be taken out of hell, judged by God, and sentenced to the Lake of Fire for eternity.
We believe in the literal existence of Satan. Satan was the “anointed cherub” who through pride rebelled against God. He is now the “god of this world” who seeks to kill, steal, and destroy as many souls as he can until the day he is eternally damned to the Lake of Fire.
VIII. THE CHURCH
We believe the church is the body of Christ, which is composed of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior. We believe every member of the body of Christ should gather together with a local church for the purpose of worshipping the one true God, biblical instruction, and mutual ministry. We believe the local church is made up solely of those who have been born again and scripturally baptized. There are two ordinances to be observed in the local church:
1. Believer’s baptism- is by immersion and is to be administered only to those who have professed Christ as their Savior. Baptism is a public testimony of faith, and a picture of the death of the “old” man and the resurrection of the “new” man in Christ.
2. Communion- is a memorial of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and is to be observed at the discretion of the church and pastor.
IX. THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the imminent, physical, return of Jesus Christ for His church prior to the great “Tribulation”. After the time of “Jacobs Trouble”, He will then return to earth and establish a literal Messianic Kingdom lasting for a thousand years.
X. THE GREAT COMMISSION
We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to proclaim the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world by all available means. Every believer is commanded to be a personal witness and should strive to financially and prayerfully support the missionary efforts of the church.
